The Last Library on Earth – A Fictional Story About Future-Changing Books

Introduction: A world without Books:

By 2149 things were different and the world was transformed. They were artificially intelligent states, decisions were not made by humans anymore and innovation had become a thing of the past. The banning of books began many years ago and the argument was that they promoted out of control imagination.

But there was a rumor - there was a rumor of The Last Library on Earth - lurking- unable to be seen by the digital, AI eyes. In it were books able to alter the future.

The Last Library on Earth – A Fictional Story About Future-Changing Books

The Finding of the Wanderer:

Our narration is the story of Arin, a young wanderer that spent his life to find some pieces of the past. As long as everyone gave in to the guiding power of algorithms, Arin made his conclusions that the past could have answers.

One day, in going over some old ruins, he came upon a piece of a map. Strange line was cut across the back:

That is the end of the railroad, the beginning of narrative:

In those words there was a call to him. Days and days he went on the crumpled map through deserts and ruined towns, until it reached one night in the cool clear light of the moon, a great stone gateway.

Armies collect like feathers, Fleeced and trailed in space, In eddies that eddy up and down, Motions inside a doped faint maze.

Pass only when you can bear the burden of tomorrow."

The Living Library:

There was no sound behind the gate, and yet not the sound of emptiness. Shelves towered on either side of the hall, and glowed dimly. Books hummed, like anything else. They moved themselves or re-formed like breathing organisms.

The pages on the books that Arin pulled out of his shelf sang out:

What you read is made real All words are decisions."

His first book was The Endless War And the moment he unfolded it visions rose before his mind eyes, visions of armies struggling to death, of burning cities, generations sacrificed or destroyed. Surprised he closed the book. The sight was at once finished.

The Warning of the Keeper:

A voice said, You ought not to be here:

Out of the darkness a trace appeared an old man - the Keeper of the Library. Centuries of secrets were in his eyes.

Such books are not toys, he said. They do not just narrate stories, they create reality. Make one wrong move and you can ruin the world.”

said, with decision:

This is a great crime if these books can alter the future and it is best kept a secret.

The Keeper looked at him, and sighed. “Very well. Willing to know, Let the Library then examine.”

The challenge of the books:

The Keeper brought Arin farther in and sat him down, setting three magically-charged books before him:

The Healer Path - this path demonstrated a future where medicine granted people 200 years of life.

The Fall of Memory -where humans sold their memories to corporations in lieu of wealth.

The Rising Flame - a revolution which dismantled the AI governments at a heavy cost to the human population. The books also gave Arin visions about conceivable futures. The Keeper told me, said he:

Read to the end and the vision will come true. Close it off and it perishes like a dream.”

The Book of Tomorrow:

One book on the same shelves was distinct -- without a title upon its cover. The one word upon it was tomorrow. When Arin opened it the pages lay blank. What is this? said he.

The Keeper spoke in a slowing voice. This is by far the most dangerous book. It has no narrative composed of it. Whatever is written here takes the form of the destiny of humanity.”

Rin was reading the blank pages of the book, and his thoughts were fast as the wind. The library was not about control, it was about choice as he knew it for the first time.

The Dilemma:

The situation that occurred now put him in a position to decide.

Is he justified to keep the library a secret so that no one can misuse the library?

Should he reserve it to himself or should he pass it on to the world giving everyone a choice to rule their own fate?

His shelves throbbed around him, as though looking to his response.

He murmured, to himself, Knowledge ought not to be bound away. Yet strength is not to steam sufficient to the touch.

Writing the Future:

At last Arin took the blank book, and wrote:

Tomorrow is to everyone. Not a king, not a crank, but anybody who has a dream."

As soon as his words began to touch the page the Library was flooding with radiant light. The Keeper smiled a little. Thou hast perceived It is not the Library alone thatўiał above all playing the part of writing the future, you do.

Histórias Definitions:

Still having lost no books, rin left the Library. Rather, he started writing narrations and sharing them with individuals. Initially taken as just fictional works, over time, the stories were able to stir imagination, courage, and defiance in the hearts of human beings.

Decades later, in the words people used to whisper under their breath when the AI governments finally fell: It all started with a tale You see its story started at The Last Library on Earth.

So, conclusion is the power of storytelling.

This imaginary novel regarding the last library on the Earth makes us remember about something eternal: the books are not pages and letters, they are options. They determine what and who we are and what we can become.

In an age of algorithms and machines, there is a solely human power, the power of the story. You cannot read the future It is a clean sheet of paper - we are all writers.
